Hey, thanks for stopping by! I’m John and this is a blog dedicated to my interest in beer. I’m a homebrewer (head brewer for JK Brewing,) beer enthusiast, and beer photographer. Here you’ll find my reviews of beers and some other thoughts I have on brewing, breweries, the beer community, and all things related to beer. What I’m not is a pretentious beer snob…I like all types of beer and think that there’s an occasion for every beer and a beer for every occasion. I like to think that I appreciate the finer things in life without forgetting about the other things, and this applies to beer too, so don’t be surprised to find reviews of all types of beers.
My goal is to review a new beer every week (update 1.18.17: not off to a good start due, in part, to having a 5 month old baby, but I’m working on the next review, I promise!) including commercial brews and homebrews, (and maybe an occasional whisky) to push myself into trying new beers, researching styles, and thinking about each one as I drink it to increase my knowledge of beer and brewing. So please stop by and read my reviews, let me know if you agree or disagree with my thoughts, and I’d love to take suggestions on beers to review. If I can get my hands on it, I’ll review it for you.
